It's been 20 years since the Oka Crisis began, some people are affected still by it, while others don’t know very much about it. For those people who don’t know very much about the Summer of 1990 they can now read all about it at the Skawenní:io Tsi Iewennahnotáhkhwa Kahnawake Library.

Starting next week there will be a book display for people to catch up on the Crisis. The books include those from the people who experienced it firsthand. The books will also be available to take out as well as to order.

July is the month of when the Oka Crisis started in 1990 and the Kahnawake Library will have their doors open for a small exhibit towards the end of the month to view articles from the Crisis and to have input from community members and whoever wants to participate.

For more information on to the exhibit call the library at 450-633-1016. Volunteers are also welcome.
